The OVGU GmbH

Otto-von-Guericke Transfer- und Projektmanagement GmbH, OVGU GmbH for short, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and acts as its closely interlinked partner in the business sector. We leverage the flexibility and commitment of an entrepreneurial player to apply the knowledge and innovative technologies emerging within our university to pioneering projects.

MISSION

"Our mission, according to our founding documents, is to sustainably strengthen and further develop the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg on the national and international stage. We focus on research, teaching, further education, internationalization, technology transfer and active dialogue with society to fulfill this purpose.

We achieve our goals through the rapid, uncomplicated and effective implementation of projects that are closely linked to the economy, while complying with the framework conditions that are relevant for a transfer company."

VISION

Together with the university and our cooperation partners, we contribute to making knowledge and technology accessible for future generations. Our goal is to promote future prosperity, health and well-being of people and to support the transformation of industry and infrastructure towards a sustainable world with decent living standards for all, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We strengthen the business and science location in the state capital Magdeburg, the surrounding districts and the region of Saxony-Anhalt by linking research results, technical and social innovations as well as knowledge and technology transfer.

Our priority is to apply our knowledge, innovations and research results for the benefit of society. We are committed to responsible and sustainable use of the environment and its resources and responsible use of innovations, and this is reflected in our corporate culture.
