Digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the dissolution of traditional learning locations and times are rapidly transforming learning. The term "NEW LEARNING" stands for new learning concepts that are not only based on digital methods but also redefine the understanding of learning. The focus is on personal responsibility, collaboration, and a sense of purpose.
A symposium will explore "NEW LEARNING" from a human resources development perspective: What opportunities do AI-supported platforms, adaptive learning systems, and microlearning formats offer? At the same time, risks such as technological dependency, new learning inequalities, and the balancing act between self-management and control will be critically discussed.
Furthermore, the question will be raised as to whether NEW LEARNING merely supports instrumental learning or can also enable reflective, sustainable learning, and what conditions are necessary for this. The event brings together academia and practice and uses innovative research approaches such as action research and ethnography to better understand and actively shape changing learning cultures. The goal is to professionalize qualitative methods in work and organizational research.
